The Step One Physical Therapy Experience
Step One Physical Therapy has been serving the greater Bergen County area since 2023. Our goal is to provide patient-centered and evidence-based care for all people with pelvic floor, TMJ, and vestibular issues.
Our goal is to create an environment where you feel comfortable and safe. Even though you may be experiencing these issues for the first time, you are not alone! Dr. Ben brings his 15+ years of experience and extensive specialized training to put you at ease and help you get back to feeling yourself again.
What can pelvic floor physical therapy do for you?
Pelvic floor PT can help with a variety of pelvic issues and chronic pain conditions including:
- incontinence
- incomplete elimination
- painful ejaculation
- painful sex
- general pelvic pain
- post-vasectomy pain
- post-prostatectomy
- post-gender confirming surgery
- pain with tucking, packing, & binding
- fibromyalgia

What can TMJ physical therapy do for you?
TMJ (temporomandibular joint) physical therapy focuses on the muscles, joints, and structures of the jaw to relieve pain and improve function. TMJ PT can help with:
- jaw pain or tenderness
- headaches or migraines related to jaw tension
- difficulty chewing or opening the mouth
- jaw clicking or popping
- neck and shoulder tension
- post-dental procedure discomfort
- Bruxism (teeth grinding)
- improving overall jaw mobility and function
What can vestibular therapy do for you?
Vestibular therapy focuses on balance, dizziness, and vertigo caused by inner ear or neurological issues. Vestibular PT can help with:
- vertigo and dizziness
- imbalance or unsteadiness
- motion sensitivity
- difficulty walking or navigating environments
- nausea related to vestibular disorders
- rehabilitation after concussion or head injury
- improvement in coordination and spatial orientation
Private Insurance
In order to maximize the time we spend on patient care, we are not “in-network” with in any private insurance networks. Depending on your insurance, your treatment at Step One Pelvic PT may be covered through your plan’s out of network benefits. We are more than happy to assist you with all the necessary documentation your insurance provider will need to be approved for or to claim out of network benefits.
Medicare
We are a participating in-network provider with Medicare Part B aka “Traditional Medicare”
While we are not in network with any Medicare Advantage Plan (Part C), your treatment at Step One Pelvic PT may be covered through your plan’s Out of Network benefits. We are more than happy to assist you with the necessary documentation your insurance provider will need to be approved for or to claim out of network benefits.
